Botox™, Dysport™, Xeomin™

Botox, Dysport and Xeomin are popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure that last about six months to reduce fine to moderate wrinkles. These products are commonly placed in the forehead, in between the eyebrow area, and around the eyes. The needle used in the procedure is very fine and there is minimal tenderness associated with the procedure. In addition to rejuvenating the face,   it can also be used for excessive sweating and jaw reshaping. Results are seen about one week after the procedure.

Facial Fillers

The purpose of fillers is stimulate collagen production by injecting a substance ie hyalorounic acid. Side effects could possibly include bruising, swelling, redness and rarely an allergic reaction. Below are a list of fillers commonly used to rejuvenate the face.

These fillers can also be used in the back of the hands to camouflage veins and signs of aging. Hand Rejuvenation is key to total rejuvenation.

Ethnic Skin Care

Multi-ethnic skin or skin of color (SOC) may have some advantages due to the increased amounts of melanin pigment in the skin. This pigment helps to protect the skin against the sun and prolong the aging process. However, SOC can also be prone to keloids/ abnormal scarring and dark spots/ patches as a result of rashes, acne, melasma, ingrown hairs. At Bergen Dermatology we are sensitive to the skin issues of all skin types.
